Work Experience Evaluations
Please note that this type of evaluation is for immigration purposes only; it cannot be used for educational or licensure purposes. JS&A provides foreign credential evaluations as well as evaluations based on professional experience. According to USCIS regulations, individuals may have the equivalent of a bachelor's degree based on their significant and broad professional experience, even if they did not complete their studies, or even attend a university. If applicants need an evaluation based on work experience, they need to submit to us the following:
-
Their detailed resume
- Letters from employers verifying their employment and specific responsibilities.
- A detailed description of the position which is being offered to them.
- If the applicant has attended a university abroad, please submit all transcripts, diplomas and certified English translations.
- Applicants in art must submit a portfolio and applicants in film & music must submit videos or tapes.
In addition, you will have to submit to us a non-refundable fee of $400 for the work experience evaluation ($500 for a work experience evaluation in the fields of architecture & urban design, art, film, music, and nursing).
It usually takes about two weeks to complete such an evaluation. An expedited evaluation (5 business days) may be available upon request. The cost for an expedited evaluation is an additional $100. Personal checks are not accepted. Evaluations must be paid for by an attorney check, money order, a cashier’s check or credit card. More than 400 immigration attorneys use our evaluation services.
Additional original reports of work experience evaluations are $50.00 each.
